I haven’t posted here in a while, having taken much of the summer off to travel and jump headfirst into a great new job that is everything I’ve always wanted. How lucky I am! Stay tuned…I’m working on a post now about my brief stay in Pescadero, California, a little western outpost just south of Silicon Valley that was doing sustainable way before it became popular.
But now that fall is in the air, I’m back in the swing of my local DC adventures. I went to the DC State Fair this weekend, which was appropriately urban, as state fairs go. Oh, there were farm animals and funnel cakes, candy apples and canning demonstrations. But this being DC (not even technically a state), there were also artisanal teas, a trapeze artist, gourmet food trucks, and green initiatives galore, but not a corn dog in sight.
